History
American Christian School is a non-profit school, incorporated in 1964. Initially, the school was housed in a renovated factory building in Dover. A small band of teachers was recruited and in 1966 the present property was acquired. American Christian School began its very first semester at 126 South Hillside Avenue with 42 students. The teachers’ faithfulness to God and passion for their calling set a standard that remains to this day.
The students of American Christian School graduate and populate universities and professions across the United States. Daily they fulfill God’s purpose and implement (consciously and unconsciously) the primary teachings of the classical Christian curriculum. The founders of ACS rejoice in the knowledge of their accomplishments and the continuous validation of the classical Christian curriculum: generous and purposeful young men and women living out the scriptures, bringing wisdom, generosity and the truth about God to the neighboring communities, academic institutions, professions and the modern world.
Approaching its 50th year, ACS is consistently proving the value of a quality Christian education.
