Arrowsmith Program
The Arrowsmith Program is based on neuroscientific research and over twenty-five years experience at the Arrowsmith School in Toronto, Canada, demonstrating that it is possible to treat learning disabilities by identifying and strengthening weak cognitive capacities. Using detailed testing and identification of 19 learning dysfunctions, the Arrowsmith Program employs innovative methods which include specialized exercises and computerized programs designed to strengthen a child’s weak cognitive areas such as motor symbol sequencing, memory, symbol recognition, auditory speech discrimination to name a few.
The Arrowsmith Program tailors interventions to the specific learning dysfunction profile of each student. As a result, many students are main streamed back into the classroom and ultimately are able to attend college.
