Celebrating 60 Years of God’s Faithfulness at American Christian
Dear Families,
As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of American Christian School, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for God’s faithfulness throughout the years. This is more than just a milestone; it is a testament to His provision and the unwavering dedication of our community, especially as we’ve faced numerous challenges over the past decade.
Reflecting on these years, it’s remarkable how much we’ve grown, even in the face of adversity. We’ve faced an oil spill that required extensive remediation, a storm that tore the roof off one of our buildings, the global disruption caused by COVID-19, and the unexpected loss of our lease on a campus. Yet, through every trial, God’s hand has guided us. Today, we are stronger than ever, with not only one campus but now the blessing of a second.
This year, we’re planning to build a new gym and fine arts stage, both of which will further enrich the experiences of our students. These are physical representations of the growth we’ve experienced, but the true evidence of God’s work is found in the hearts of our students. They are not only excelling academically—getting into some of the top colleges in the nation and earning an impressive number of college credits while still in high school—but they are also growing spiritually. Seeing students who love Jesus and walk confidently in their faith is the greatest joy of all.
Years ago, we had combined grades in classrooms due to lower enrollment. Today, we are blessed with waitlists for several of our classes, a sign of how far we’ve come. Our sports teams, clubs, and societies are flourishing, providing countless opportunities for students to grow and develop outside the classroom as well.
As we reflect on the last 60 years, we see God’s goodness woven into the fabric of our school. What an exciting journey this has been! But we’re not done yet. The future holds so much promise, and I can’t wait to see how God will continue to use American Christian School to shape the lives of young people for His glory.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in this mission. Together, we will continue to prepare students not just for success in college and careers, but for lives dedicated to the Kingdom of God. Here’s to the next 60 years!
In Christ,
