Our History

The American Christian School is a not-for-profit independently chartered school established in 1964. The school campus located in Succasunna was expanded to a second campus in 2016 to meet the growing needs of enrollment. In 2001 the school became a Classical Christian School. The school is accredited by Cognia/AdvancEd, the largest accreditation company in the country. Students are graduating into their top choice universities around the country.

Our Board

The Board of Trustees has the final responsibility for ensuring the general direction of the school’s mission is consistent and effective.

The Board offers the expertise and vision necessary to keep the school’s mission alive and healthy for generations to come. They leave the school’s daily operation to the Head of School and the school staff.

The Board holds town hall meetings once a year. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend, and may address the board with questions and/or concerns provided they inform the board in advance in order to be included on the agenda.

Our Emblem, Mascot and School Colors

Our school mascot is the American Eagle. This reminds us of the need to wait upon the Lord for His strength.

Our emblem is a shield serving as a reminder that God is always with us and our strength comes from Him.

Our school colors are red, white, and blue. They remind us of the blood of Christ that was shed for the forgiveness of sins, the holiness of Jesus Christ. They also remind us of our wonderful country and its freedoms with which God has blessed us.
