Blessings on Blessings
Celebrating God’s Faithfulness at ACS as We Enter the New Year
As we step into a brand-new year, our hearts are full of gratitude. Looking back over the past months at American Christian School, one phrase keeps coming to mind: blessings on blessings. God has been moving in powerful, visible ways across our campuses, in our classrooms, on our courts, and—most importantly—in the hearts of our students.
Growing Faith & Spiritual Life
One of the greatest joys this season has been witnessing students express a sincere desire to go deeper in their faith. We see it during chapels, through meaningful class discussions, in thoughtful conversations with teachers, and in student-led Bible studies. This hunger for truth has led to exciting growth, including the launch of two new Bible clubs—one in High School and one in Middle School—meeting during lunch periods.

We’ve also celebrated several students being baptized at their home churches, a powerful testimony of lives being transformed and faith becoming personal.
Community, Leadership & Service
Community continues to flourish at ACS. Our 10th/8th grade mentoring program launched successfully, building meaningful relationships across grade levels. We celebrated the election of a new Student Government, empowering students to lead and serve with integrity, and we proudly inducted new members into the National Honor Society, recognizing scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Our PTO parents have been a tremendous blessing as well, providing “First Lunch” treats and snacks that bring teachers and students together and help strengthen community in simple but meaningful ways.
Service remains a cornerstone of who we are. Students made countless PB&J sandwiches and encouraging notes for the homeless in Newark through Sparrow House, learning firsthand the joy of loving others through action.

Excellence in the Arts, Academics & Innovation
We are proud to celebrate 12 students earning placement in the Morris Area Honors Choir, a testament to their talent and dedication. Academically, students continue to challenge themselves, with CLEP exams successfully passed, opening doors for future opportunities.
Innovation is also thriving—our Robotics Club is officially up and running, giving students hands-on experience in problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity.

Athletics, Spirit & School Pride
School spirit has been alive and well! A lively Powder Puff game energized our community and featured an unforgettable halftime show. Our Girls Volleyball Team brought home championship titles and trophies, and basketball season is now underway and off to a great start, filling our gyms with excitement and support.

Behind the scenes, the New Gym Capital Campaign is gaining momentum, with donations and pledges continuing to grow. We are thankful for the generosity and shared vision of our ACS family as we look toward the future.
Welcoming & Expanding Our Community
This year, we were blessed to welcome three foreign exchange students into our high school community, enriching our campus with new perspectives and friendships. We’re also thankful that our partnership with Arrow Academy continues to grow, strengthening our shared mission and impact.
A Joyful Christmas Season for Our Young Ones too!
The Christmas season brought special moments of joy and celebration, especially at our South Campus:
- 5th–12th Grade Christmas Concert – December 8
- Holiday Shop – December 9–10, giving students the chance to bless loved ones
- PK–4th Grade Christmas Concert – December 17
- Spirit Week – December 15–19
- ACS South Movie Field Trip – December 18
- Class Parties – December 19
These moments reminded us of the joy, wonder, and hope found in celebrating Christ together.

A Sweet Ending Before Christmas Break
And perhaps the sweetest moment of all came right before students headed off for Christmas break. In a beautiful expression of unity and joy, both ACS campuses took school-wide field trips—something truly special and increasingly rare.
Our South Campus traveled together to see DAVID, experiencing a powerful story of faith, courage, and God’s faithfulness. Meanwhile, our North Campus returned to Aspen (Sportscare) Ice for their annual Christmas skating party, a beloved tradition filled with laughter, celebration, and shared memories.
What other school can say that its entire student body—across campuses—steps away from the classroom together to celebrate community in this way? These moments capture the heart of ACS: education rooted in relationship, joy, and intentional togetherness. It was an incredible reminder that school is about so much more than academics—it’s about building a Christ-centered family.

As we enter the New Year, we are filled with gratitude for what God has done—and great expectation for what He will continue to do. Thank you to our students, families, faculty, staff, and supporters for being part of this incredible journey.
So much to celebrate. So much to be thankful for. And so much more ahead.
Here’s to a new year at ACS—where faith is growing, community is thriving, and God is moving mightily.
