The ACS Family in Action: Highlights from Our First Month Back

The first month of school at American Christian School has been filled with energy, learning, and community! From chemistry experiments to team spirit and exciting campus news, here are a few highlights from our first few weeks together as one big ACS family.

Faith and Fellowship: Banquet Season Begins

Our 17th Annual Banquet is quickly approaching! This cherished event brings the ACS community together for an evening of worship, reflection, and giving. Each year, the banquet supports classroom programs, scholarships, athletics, and the arts — helping ACS continue to grow and thrive. Register today (simply click the invite below) to join us for this unforgettable evening.

Families are encouraged to register early for our 17th Annual Banquet — a night to celebrate God’s faithfulness and the ACS mission.

Hands-On Learning: Chemistry in Action

Academic excellence is alive and well in our classrooms! Check out Dr. Bartek’s students working hard in a recent chemistry lab, where they rolled up their sleeves to explore hands-on experiments. It’s a beautiful reminder that learning at ACS is both rigorous and inspiring.
Families are invited to experience this for themselves during our High School Preview Day on October 22nd, where visitors can tour classrooms, meet teachers, and see the difference of Christ-centered education in action. There is still time to register too, simply click the picture below.

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Exploring God’s Creation

Learning at ACS happens in more places than just the classroom — sometimes, it’s right in our own backyard! Our 5th grade students recently stepped outside to study the local ecosystem, observing and catching a few new “friends” along the way. These outdoor lessons give students a firsthand look at God’s creation while reinforcing what they learn in science.
We love that our students have opportunities for discovery, curiosity, and hands-on experiences every day.

North Campus Expansion: Growing with Purpose

Our North Campus in Rockaway, serving grades 7–12, continues to grow! We’re welcoming new families every week and are excited to share that tours can be booked anytime.
It’s been a blessing to see students filling hallways, classrooms, and study spaces — a testament to God’s continued provision for ACS. Families considering enrollment are encouraged to schedule a tour and see firsthand what makes ACS unique.

Community in Motion: Sports & Alumni Involvement

This fall, our athletic department is thriving! We’ve invited parents and alumni to come alongside our coaches as assistants or stats keepers — a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, mentor, and invest in our student-athletes.
These volunteer roles strengthen our sports programs and give alumni a chance to “come home” and be part of something meaningful once again.

ACS coaches, players, and volunteers work together to build skill, sportsmanship, and school spirit.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on a full and fruitful first month, one theme shines through every post: the ACS family is vibrant, faith-filled, and growing stronger together.
We are so grateful for our students, parents, staff, and alumni who make ACS more than a school — it’s a community where faith and learning come alive each day.
